Review on Stinger RKX36B Roadkill Damping Material by David Moreno

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Butyl rubber separates from aluminum too easily. not too sticky or plasticy either.

Okay. I give 3 stars because of the price. Butyl rubber separates from aluminum too easily. also not as sticky or plasticy as a second skin moisturizer or Dynamat xtreme. I had to leave the sheets I was going to apply in the sun before applying, and then I had to roll the live shit out of them so they would stick properly. I prefer Dynamat because I can tear the pieces apart with my hands, but with a spike I have to use a blade to cut them and then carefully separate each piece or the rubber will stick to one piece and a couple of square inches of that other. Piece is just bare foil. All in all it's about 2/3 the price of a Dynamat Xtreme or Second Skin shock. I would buy again but only for flat large horizontal surfaces.

Pros
  • Road Kill Expert Series Sound Attenuation Material
Cons
  • Minor Issues
