Why spend more when the Stinger does the same thing as Dynamat at a lower price. My 2015 Honda Fit toned down the sound and also added an MLV which really makes for a smooth Lexus-like ride. Overall, this product can't match the price. Highly recommended. After application, there is no smell and no stickiness. Mark areas and check fit to ensure proper placement. Get a roller to make the installation tight and level. The improved sound system still sounds "audiophile quality", now with noise…

Okay. I give 3 stars because of the price. Butyl rubber separates from aluminum too easily. also not as sticky or plasticy as a second skin moisturizer or Dynamat xtreme. I had to leave the sheets I was going to apply in the sun before applying, and then I had to roll the live shit out of them so they would stick properly. I prefer Dynamat because I can tear the pieces apart with my hands, but with a spike I have to use a blade to cut them and then carefully separate each piece or the rubber…

KNOW WHAT YOU SIGN!

I installed this product on my 07 single cab twin layout. The truck comes standard with a giant rattle! I was planning to upgrade my speakers and figured why not soundproof them. But please understand, it takes a long time and requires a lot of patience and attention to detail in this work! About 2 boxes took up my entire truck and I folded the roof and cab. All internals must be removed prior to installation. I found that after removing the inside, vacuuming and using plain greens and then a…

Calmed the beast in the back

I recently bought a used 2007 Toyota Tacoma SR5. My previous car was a 2000 Audi A6. I buy used cars with the intention of driving them for a long time (200,000 miles). The transition from sedan to truck was a minor change, and some of the interior appointments were simpler. One of the biggest differences was the street noise. As you might expect, the A6 was very quiet. It's not fair to expect a truck to be this quiet, but after a few long rides the noise started to bother me. I looked at…

Anti-Vibration: Isolation

Stinger Roadkill is a great vibration reduction product. I've read some articles on soundproofing and here are my comments based on my own experience: 1) This is definitely NOT an asphalt based product. Asphalt-based mufflers like FatMat or similar might seem cheap, but they smell bad at high temperatures and don't work as well as they do for soundproofing. The Stinger Roadkill's value for money is likely to be much higher than asphalt-based products. 2) Soundproofing is different from…
