This headlight has convinced me. I've had a lot of headlights over the past few years, they always fail or have some sort of problem like flickering or low light or just not working. The Black Diamond ReVolt suffers from none of these shortcomings. I took it on a recent hike and my friends and I compared the light. They both also had Black Diamond bulbs, but this was the brightest of the three. Ambient lighting is very handy for finding things in storage, as it's not as noticeable to others and gives you a wider range of your light. In this mode, it looks more like a flashlight than a headlight, and that's very useful. All modes are controlled by holding the button. The light remembers the mode it was in when you turned it off and will return to that mode when you turn it back on. Overall this is an amazing piece of gear and I'm really in love with it.
