A good snake doesn't go the distance.

I pushed the snake down the drain but my clog is at least 45 feet from the pipe. The snake twisted in the tube and leaned forward. I didn't know until I pulled it out again. The drain is still on. I'll try a larger diameter and stiffer snake. This one felt good but was still bent and kinked. It seemed like a good guard snake, not that far down the pipe.
