I ordered two 1/8 inch pieces, a clear amber and a translucent red, to make parking light lenses for a vintage car I am restoring. Clear Amber is really very clear and I have to run it through a tumbler to dull it a bit. On the other hand, a "translucent" red simply cannot be called translucent, it is opaque. It transmits a little closer than 5% to 50% of red light and is less transparent than natural acetal or polyethylene (less transparent than a 5-gallon orange plastic Home Depot bucket).
