I received the product and vacuum sealed some of the items. I checked both refrigerated and frozen foods and they were still sealed. The scale is pretty accurate. You don't need a weight tray to use sealant. But you can use the scale and sealer at the same time, for example if you want to create a batch of products of the same size and weight for future dishes.
