I bought this pet door specifically for the two doors, thinking they would keep cold air out of the house all winter. And they would do fine if the doors actually closed after my cats walked through the door, but they don't. JE. One issue is there is fluffy material around the edges of the opening, for insulation purposes I suppose, but the doors snag on it and get stuck. I hope it wears off after a while and won't be such a big problem. But another problem is that the flexible plastic door isn't heavy enough to reach the very thin magnet on the bottom of the door. If you hit the door hard/quickly, it will bounce back fast enough to catch the magnet. But if you have a cat like mine that slowly walks through the door, the door will only hang about an inch from the magnet if it comes down at all. I adjusted the flap height, which helped a bit, but it's still a big problem. I have to keep checking the pet door and shutting the hatches, and my heater runs all day. I have to lock the door at night, which is very annoying for my cats, but I can't let the cold air blow into the house all night. If this product works properly I would give it 5 stars. And if after a while it starts to work better, I'll come back and correct my assessment. But right now it really annoys me that I have to manually close these shutters 50 times a day.
