Looks good but assembly is tedious and not the most durable

Pros: I love the look of this ladder. This is one of the cheapest full length ladder shelves. I use it to store decorative items like photos and plants. The usage for series of books is very narrow, but I like the overall look. Disadvantages: Difficult to set up! It's very hard to hold this thing together while trying to twist it. It's very thin and the slant of the shelves makes it really hard to hold on to. It took less than an hour to assemble, but the whole process was a headache. You have to drill these into the wall. It is only attached from above. There are no bottom fasteners. The legs can't stand on their own or support the weight of the shelf on their own, so you *have* to make sure it's well-drilled. If you're uncomfortable using a power drill, this isn't the best buy haha. Overall I do not recommend this product. It's a pain to assemble and quite flimsy. BUT, if you're willing to take that risk, it's a pretty cheap shelf, according to YMMV. Once assembled it makes a lovely shelf for plants, decorations etc and the open back makes it easy to store away. For example, I have a diffuser that easily turns off/refills/etc. lets, so that's nice.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Frequency
