I bought the monitor because I always have at least 6-8 windows open at the same time and switching back and forth between them is tedious on smaller devices. The picture is great but make sure it works with your old computer. You must use USB C to get the best picture. Had to drop my fully loaded Mac Pro as it only has HDMI plugged in and that resolution sucks on this monitor. Works so far on my Macbook Pro (2018) and it was a good reason to get a new Mac Studio. The connection was painless, I liked the picture quality.
