This SSD works great with older PowerBook G4 and PowerPC Mac models with mSATA to IDE converters. While older versions of OS X don't have TRIM support, this SSD uses a Sandforce controller, which doesn't cause sleep issues like other SSDs with a JMicron controller. With the PowerBook G4 Titanium SSD installed, it boots very quickly and applications start in a few seconds, although the speed is limited to 66 Mbps. If you want to breathe new life into your old IDE-only laptop, I definitely recommend this mSATA SSD with a converter instead of relying on the limited IDE/PATA SSD choices.
