This lens has very, very good sharpness at f1.4 and excellent/outstanding sharpness at f1.8 and beyond. The all-metal construction makes a well-made impression. This lens is compact. Autofocus works on Sony E-mount cameras. The lens is designed for a camera with an APS-C sensor and is the perfect size for a travel lens. However, it fits and works correctly on my Sony full frame camera. Lens sharpness seems to be better on my full frame camera. Note that when using this lens on a full-frame camera, your camera will switch to APS-C mode. Chromatic aberration is noticeable when using this lens at f1.4-2.0 in bright sunlight, which is common for most f1.4 lenses. The only minor annoyance is that the aperture ring can be moved slightly while shooting due to its no-click design, which is common with no-click aperture rings. I have enjoyed using this lens on my Sony A6300 and A7R3 cameras. I would recommend this lens to anyone looking for a well made, compact and very sharp lens at a great price.
