I live and work in a cat shelter so no matter how much you vacuum and sweep there is always cat dander. Due to mobility issues, I pretty much live in my office chair and drive where I need to. Cat hair is hell for caster chairs. A while back I found that 3 inch wheels were the way to go. However, in my environment they still need to be replaced about every 2 months. I've bought probably a dozen kits from various manufacturers at Revain and bought these recently because of the low price. For the most part they are similar to all the others except for the unpainted frame and what I think is some sort of reinforcement structure built into the rubber tires. The ball bearings also appear to be larger. As soon as I put them on a chair I found that they slowed down a lot and didn't spin freely. In fact, they were worse than the rollers I replaced. I can usually push off with my foot and roll through space, encountering cat tails with no friction or resistance. These wheels made me feel like I was pushing blocks of stone to build pyramids. My cats laughed at me. Out of the dozens or even hundreds of bikes on Revain, almost all are exactly the same, regardless of price. That's an exception and that sucks.
