Review on Creative Mark Midnight Drawing Metallic by Amy Mcleod

This is a black paper drawing pad. Sheets measure 8 3/8" x 11 7/8" after separation by micro-perforation. 80 lb paper in jet black. Binding - double metal spiral. The front cover is made of thick cardboard and the back cover is made of 1/16 inch thick cardboard. The paper was made in China. I have used this pastel paper with great success. I take drawing classes for beginners. In the lesson we will start experimenting with pastel colors. After using my pastels in my regular white sketchbook, I decided to see how they would look on this black paper. Wow! They really catch the eye. Black creates new contrasts and new perspectives in my drawings. I haven't tried watercolors with it yet because the paper doesn't seem thick enough for it. Overall, this paper is a great replacement for regular white/off-white sketch paper.
