. This duvet was quite soft and it was the light duvet I expected at this price point. I have nice throws from Pottery Barn and RH, by comparison this one *looks* almost as good on the bed as the nicer ones. I sent it back so can't comment on how it's holding up in the wash. The quality is much lower than the expensive ones, but they can definitely work and be comfortable, especially if you want the looks. The strangest thing is that if this blanket is pulled up at all, it looks very dirty because the filling isn't all white. Please see my 3rd photo. I put 2 photos of him on my bed and one of them was picked up (during the day). If I had only made one bed I would have kept this one, but "dirty filling" made me not look at it daily. In addition, when touched, the dark parts were also hard and lumpy. I believe some other reviewers also referred to the filling. I bought white so you might not have had this problem at all if you bought a different color - in which case I would recommend it.
