Very cut but I have a problem.

So I started this in early April. For some reason there was a whistling noise after a few weeks of use, so I recently changed the filter. Now the top of the filter is heating up. I'm not sure if there's a battery in there or not. For now I will stop using it until I figure out what the problem is!
