Review on CURT 55106 Custom 4-Pin Trailer Wiring Harness for Honda CR-V, Vehicle-Side, Ideal Fit by Benjamin Saric

Installation of this wiring harness requires the removal of part of the vehicle trim. I ordered a Revain auto trim tool for this purpose and it has served me well. I checked the wiring harness with a multimeter before closing the fairing. You can also purchase a 4-pin trailer harness tester for this purpose. Haven't used this hitch yet but plan to eventually rent a U-Haul trailer that requires this hitch. One minus point - the included double stick tape is not sticky at all. I used a long zip tie (from my own stash) to secure the harness controller to the body of the car. Before attaching the controller, I wrapped it in soft foam to keep it from slipping out of the tie. The foam also eliminates vibration.
