Convenient and very easy installation!

It was very easy to install. Took me about 10 minutes, most of the time was spent opening the wheel cover so I could open the jar. It was almost directly over my rear rider wheel. I pocketed it, placed the black control box in a safe place, and hid it away from the street. Then I slid the connector under the shroud and pushed the shroud into place. I didn't even open the instruction manual.

  • Impressive

Ideal. It's pretty easy to install.

Perfect for my 2010 CRV. Many thanks to Honda for providing the integrated wiring harness to which this product connects. Thanks Kurt for making a special device for my car! I also bought a tester to test the light and it worked as expected. My installation was a little more complicated than the videos I've seen as the wiring connector was a lot farther from the tailgate in the cabin, but overall it took about 20 minutes from start to finish.

  • Build quality

  • There are other interesting options.

Easy to Install on Honda CRV

Very easy to install on Honda CRV. No fancy tools are required to remove automotive plastics. I just used a screwdriver covered with a rag to avoid scratching. There is a video on YouTube for my specific vehicle and model, so installation success may vary for your vehicle. Nothing fancy about this connection, all you see is what you get, it works. Still working after 10 uses and affordable enough to be replaced if the wire or pins break... which they end up being no matter which one you buy or…

Works perfectly. - Trailer Accessory

Installing this wire harness was a lot harder than it could/should be thanks to Honda's attempt to save 5 cents on the wire. The trailer's wiring connector is located above the fuel filler flap, which requires almost complete dismantling of the side panel. Honda could use 2ft more cable and make this installation a breeze. Honda could also use a rubber plug to cut a hole in the spare wheel well so the wire could be routed out without threading it through the hatch and draping it over the…

2 fuses blown. for trailer accessories

I installed one of these on our 2010 Honda CR-V. Went to check and noticed my parking lights and 4 way turn signals on the car were not working. When troubleshooting (after replacing blown fuses), it turned out that the problem was in this adapter. I would like to point out that when the wire was stripped for connection to the vehicle's wiring harness, it was not the bright shiny copper color that one might expect. Instead, the wires were almost black. Incidentally, I installed the thing for…

10 minute install from start to finish for 2008 .

10 minutes from start to finish of the installation on a 2008 CR-V. Pull the tire off, remove the rear sill (2 clips and remove), remove 1 clip at the back of the trunk on the driver's side bottom, slide the side panel out a bit, locate the white connector on top of the wheel Bow, tied to the wiring harness (blue tape around it), loosen and connect, use the included double sided tape and stick it anywhere you want (I did it in the sidebar), reassemble everything. Leave the connector and cable…

Vehicle specific suspension - fits like a glove.

Installation of this wiring harness requires the removal of part of the vehicle trim. I ordered a Revain auto trim tool for this purpose and it has served me well. I checked the wiring harness with a multimeter before closing the fairing. You can also purchase a 4-pin trailer harness tester for this purpose. Haven't used this hitch yet but plan to eventually rent a U-Haul trailer that requires this hitch. One minus point - the included double stick tape is not sticky at all. I used a long zip…
