The metal coating did not survive being washed in the dishwasher.
When I opened the box they looked so cute! They said they were dishwasher safe so I threw them away before using them. When I took them out of the dishwasher all the metal was corroded and tarnished. They didn't look good so I figured they weren't safe to eat at the moment. I'm sure I can find another use for it to organize something.
