Review on WD_Black SN850 Internal Gaming Solid by Timothy Louis
I only get 33194 points on Passmark instead of the promised 38781. That's a big difference.
Easy installation but make sure to use the CPU slot not the motherboard one as my TRX0-40 doesn't work. The clone speed estimate was too low. I had to install from scratch from a screw USB. get high speed. I have other WDs and Seagates as well as an Intel 900P and wouldn't buy them as a replacement as it's not that much faster. For fresh installs, this is the best SSD. I'd love to hear from others about the magic of getting 38781 speed with Passmark. My setup is a Threadripper 3970x. Yes, this new WD drive won't break like my old ones.
