The pin end of the lighting cable is too small, lose connection with iPhone!

The pin end of the lighting cable is undersized compared to the standard Lightning end and loses connection with the iPhone as soon as you move the cable or the phone. It doesn't fully insert into the iPhone because the connector end is too short so it has a very weak connection.
