I bought a rectangular mirror 28x38. It does not plug into an outlet and can be installed in a wall by an electrician. The light might be good for makeup or whatever, but overall it's not that bright, could definitely be brighter. I didn't want to hire an electrician and wanted to plug it into a nearby outlet. So instead I bought a spare wire from a hardware store and used butt joints to attach it to the wiring on the mirror. Then I used heat shrink tubing to cover the wiring between them. I then used wire trunking to organize the cord (I did this after the photo was taken) to route it behind the vanity and plug it into an outlet. In general, not much effort, not very expensive, and I achieved my goal. Looks very nice and I'm happy with the result.
