They are thin but very useful. The easiest way is to circle them with a sharp #2 pencil and then go over them with your chosen tool. You need a thin, sharp point to fit into small spaces. Sometimes the detail is not exempt from the pattern. But the exacto blade will solve this problem if used carefully. So go through them carefully before giving them to young children. I would not give them to small children as they cannot be put in the mouth. Edges can be sharp and sheets thin enough to crumple and get stuck in the mouth, some edges sharp enough to cut delicate skin and tissue and cause choking fits. They are good for older children and adults. I have several of these kits, some are better than others and some tiny outlines are unusable. But they're not expensive, and mine all fit in a pencil case. I bought them for use in Bujo magazine. MaryAnn Coy-Shurger
