Broke after first wash and not used in bed yet.

I bought this for a bunk bed in a girls room who will be having a baby soon. I took it and washed it, like everything new, and it's already torn at the seam in three different places. I'll end up sewing it because I can't send it back after washing but I'm so frustrated I haven't even put it on the bed and it's already torn.
