It's great to be able to get freshly ground pepper with one hand. Of course, if you wanted to use already ground pepper you would only be using one hand - however, there are some of us who love freshly ground pepper more than already ground pepper, and until now it took two hands - one. to hold the grinder and the other to activate the mechanism on the grinder. This coffee grinder makes a nice sound when you press the button on top. Each pump produces a small amount of ground pepper, so it takes 10 or 15 pumps to get enough pepper to coat a scrambled egg or corn on the cob. However, if you have someone with a musical background, especially percussion, they will love the beats that they can play to make more delicious food for themselves.
