Pencils don't dent
Many other pencils, like this one with a self-retaining pencil part on the front, have bare metal parts that dig into the body of the pencil. This one is covered in rubber so it works great. Mine sharpens a little off center no matter what I do, but the tip is long enough that the wood is far enough back, that's not a problem. Very happy with it when I need something quieter or more portable than an electric sharpener.
