I bought this as a large screen for my dad's 15 inch HP widescreen laptop so he can view all of his streaming quotes on one screen. So the bar was not set too high! Installation was easy: I attached the stand, selected the correct cable from the three supplied (in this case the main analog connector), plugged in and that was it. . wanted to use the laptop display again (which in itself seemed quite acceptable). As a cheap display, the contrast changes depending on the vertical viewing angle, but it is better than many other displays. It's good for everything except critical graphic design work. .
