Can't believe it took me decades to get one of these. I've always wanted the ginger version of the scissors but found them to be overpriced. All of the cheaper scissors had enough bad reviews to make me feel like there was a 50/50 chance I could end up with a defective pair. These Wiss scissors have great reviews so I ordered a pair. They are cool! Super sharp full length blades, no weird scratches or blades that won't slide over each other. Now I can stop using those stupid cheap scissors that came with one of my sewing kits to cut thread on my sewing machine and cut the notches into folds and patterns, they really sucked. The real challenge is cutting notches in knit jerseys and sweaters, sleeves, and sleeves that only have 3/8-inch seam allowances. It was just a mess with cheap little scissors, making it difficult to tell the double cut from the single cut after tearing the pattern pieces from the fabric. With these scissors I can make tiny triangular cuts without ever getting too close to the seam line and no more cuts that look like they were gnawed by rodents instead of being cut with scissors. I am a satisfied seamstress and if the unexpected happens to these scissors I will order them again, I think I will even order a second pair to put in my small embroidery travel bag. If you sew, you'll love these scissors and so will your wallet!
