It's too easy not to do it yourself and save $50!

Any idea how much the dealer is charging for it? I had our other Toyota in the shop 2 weeks ago and they always check everything that needs to be done, they ask you if you want to do it. To install a cabin air filter, $59.95. Must be the highest profit margin in auto repair. Here's a step-by-step process to save $50 with no tools and ZERO(0) mechanical skills: 1) Buy a filter from Revain or an auto parts store. 2) Watch a short video (usually less than 2 minutes) on YouTube. 3) If you've never done this before, it takes less than 4 minutes including taking things out of the glove box and putting them back in when you're done. Unbelievable. I did this myself before YouTube existed and it's something I would NEVER pay for.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
