These gloves are VERY thick and durable. They'd probably be good for hard work, but they're terrible for washing dishes. They are too thick and stiff and not as flexible as most dishwashing mitts. They are also very slippery. I've dropped 3 dishes within the first 10 minutes of dishwashing with these gloves on and believe me I'm not a fan when it comes to hand dishwashing. I also got a lot of spatters because they are quite short so the top half of my forearms were half wet when I was done. So. I would definitely NOT recommend them for washing dishes or any other job with fragile or small items, or any job that requires you to have some feeling of what you are touching. outer wall or something.
