My son's nursery is very damp and had mold problems. We had a previous dehumidifier which my husband accidentally broke, knocked it over and got into the water system killing it. This one is more stable. And it removes much more moisture much faster than the previous one. I dump it almost twice a day and use the water to water my plants, which is fine in California where water is scarce. And I'm impressed that it consistently maintains the humidity levels I need for my son and mold protection. I was concerned that the decibel level was not listed in the description as it would be used 24/7 in my son's room. But it's wonderfully quiet. Loud enough to generate white noise. And that with the "rain” setting! I'm so glad I bought it and I recommend it because it removes moisture quickly and because of its low noise level in decibels.
