I gave 4 stars because it's decent quality but not great quality. It was difficult to assemble at first, but after my husband's help, we found the key to assemble it. I'd recommend reading the instructions in full first to get an idea of what needs to happen, but here are a few additional tips that I found helpful when assembling: 1. Separate the top and bottom screws so that they go in fit the correct hole. Insert the long side of the "L bit" into the wooden leg and the short side sticking out of the table.3. When placing "X" elements on the inside of the legs, make sure that all four ends of an "X" element are either inside (touching the wood) or completely outside if they overlap. Think like Lincoln Protocols. I find #3 the most useful as I installed it differently (all overlapping) and I couldn't tighten the nut on the last bolt in my life.
