I received these to replace old, cracked magnets that were no longer able to hold potholders to the side of an installed microwave oven. "But Joe, magnets don't lose their power over time?" That's true, but the magnets actually fell out of the clamps and shattered into pieces. They still magnetized, but in random directions instead of working seamlessly together. This set should replace them. And he did an incredible job. These magnets attach securely to the side of the microwave and are ready to hold oven mitts, casseroles or whatever. They don't slip a bit and look from the side. Go and get your good kitchen stuff; these wait.
