These are very stable shower shoes that I wear during my showers to keep steady while wet. The outer bottom soles grip the bathtub floor very well - no slippage at all. The inner soles have grooves which hug my feet to keep me steady - I'm cautious when my feet are soapy and wet but so far (after 5+ years of using this type of shower shoe) no sliding yet. I also use this type of shoe when getting in and out of the pool and again - there has been no slipping or sliding around the pool area. The cushioning doesn't last too long if you also wear these during the day but only wearing as shower shoes they last a long while. For daily wear shoes the cushioning lasts 6-8 months, but they are reasonably priced so replacement doesn't hurt the wallet too much. Be advised that over time they tend to spread a little (get a little wider/looser and maybe even a little longer) - this usually is around the time that the cushioning fails so is an indicator to perhaps get a new pair.
