I have had one (a hob) for 2-3 years now. In the beginning it took me some time to learn how to cook on it. Understanding how long it took the pan to heat up, what each of the settings means in terms of relative heat, etc. After that, unless I'm doing something in the Instant Pot, I ended up cooking with one pan/pot. (another great product). I had no issues with the quality of my single hob. It looks almost the same as it came out of the box except for a few scuffs on it showing it has been used. There was a time I wanted two hobs and here there was only one, so I recently came back here to order another single hob, saw the double hob and ordered it. It is important to understand the limitations of a single or double hob: the power is so high that it can be pulled from a socket that is 1800 watts. At the same time, this is not a full-fledged induction hob that you would install in your kitchen with access to a 240V outlet. You get 1800W and that's it. If you are thinking about a double hob, you have to keep in mind that one hob can concentrate all the power on one pan, but a double hob cannot run both hobs at the same time with 1800W of power. Daily cooking, I don't think it matters. You are unlikely to boil two large pots of water at once. The 6-inch heating area is also likely limited by the wall outlet. That being said, I really liked my single hob and am looking forward to a little more flexibility with a dual hob. Why 4 instead of 5 stars? Since you are limited by the power of the socket, this is not the fault of the product.
