I bought one of these curry combs 2 years ago to try on my many horses because it was very difficult to find a curry comb with soft rubber teeth. This is the BEST groomer I have ever used. It has survived daily use well and still looks brand new. The teeth didn't wear at all like I've had with other brands. All of my horses love it, including a very sensitive mare with TB. I find it best to start with gentle pressure until they get used to it and then increase pressure where they tend to. It's easy to apply too much pressure in the beginning. Even with gentle pressure, it penetrates deep into the fur and pulls out dust and dirt. I know it's marketed for helping muscles (which it does), but it's also very good at taking care of yourself! This helps reduce warm-up time when working with horses. I notice a big difference using this groomer instead of just brushing off the dust. One of the great benefits of this tool is that I can use it on the horse's thighs, an area where most curries cause discomfort. A year ago I bought a second groomer and this Christmas all my customers on my farm got one for Christmas too. Only good things can be said about the groomer! A customer has a horse with chronic muscle problems due to neck arthritis and this groomer has made a significant difference in his comfort level with daily use. Everything positive! I highly recommend it.
