It cant be worse! A waste of money.

Got pros:
If you look deeply, then maybe they are, but otherwise it's better to wait for Cannonlake. Moreover, there is one advantage, it is not on the shelves.
Got cons:
heat dissipation, thermal concha, the old socket is no better than 7700k and, according to tests, even merges with many (there are plenty of proofs).
