My neighbor passed away a few weeks ago and has been taking care of a free roaming cat for the last 15 years who is mostly wild and the only person he knows is our neighbour. The poor kitten looked so sad, weak and unhappy. Right after his husband died I made sure he ate and drank fresh water every day and also tried to gain his trust to see if he was neutered and to make sure he had his vet check up with vaccinations etc. (I have house cats and also don't want to risk their health by bringing any type of illness or disease with them.) Anyhow, it's going to be 40 degrees Fahrenheit tonight and it's only going to get colder. He used to sleep in his human garage, but we don't have a garage. I have ordered a really well insulated house for wild cats, but it will take another 2 or 3 weeks and in the meantime I have received it myself. a warm blanket which I hear he can use now, and I can put it in the cat's house when she's there. It arrived yesterday and I put it where it likes to lie sometimes and I looked outside at 11:30pm, it's evening and it's all snuggled up! He hasn't committed to anything else I've given him and I didn't hold my breath thinking he wouldn't like it either and I would just give it to my spoiled house cats. Rschunimagu. But it looks like it's approved for feral cats! Hooray!
