Review on ๐ŸŒž Bulk Sunlite Patches by Peter Green

Outstanding Performance - Use with Elmer's Rubber Cement

I've had a number of punctured hoses and am tired of spending $5 on a new hose each time. Eventually I had 3 flat tires in 3 weeks of commuting. The small portable patch kits aren't really enough to make as many patches as I need so I bought this large version. I used about 10 patches to take care of my backlog. I've used Elmer's wrinkle-free gum adhesive patches (about $3 at each Walm*rt) as the patch adhesive and it works well. I usually attach the patch to the tube with a standard clamp and leave it overnight. I haven't had any failures due to the patch and have tested each vial after the patch has dried to make sure it's holding up. I think the size of these patches is a good mid-range compromise between needing a bigger patch and a really small puncture. , and I've patched a few bigger holes than I probably should have done or normally would have done. UPDATE: I've found two more uses for these patches and my trusty gum glue. We have a standard size airbed for camping. It has a puncture on the top (flocked) side. I sanded down the flocking with sandpaper and then applied a bike patch with rubber glue and glued it in for 24 hours. This issue has been resolved. We also had a water bladder that had a pinhole in one corner. I attacked him again with my trusty rubber glue and bike patches. It holds air for now, I have yet to try water but it should hold up to a pinhole. UPDATE 2: Still in use in 2020, bought since 2012. They are still soft and usable.
