I can't take any chances. fits spares
This is NOT the same part that came from my Dodge RAM 1500. The portion of the sensor that goes into the engine was about 1 inch longer than the old sensor. It might be a "new" design, but I couldn't find it anywhere on the internet, so I did NOT install it. I went to my local auto parts store and bought a sensor that looks exactly how it came out and works fine. This is either the wrong part for the 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 with the 4.7 liter OR engine - the design has been changed.
