My buddy is very concerned about being a shelter dog so we needed a carrier that was easy to use and that we could carry with us at all times. I also liked the design for two reasons; I love Pokemon and the mostly covered front. This seemed to minimize his fear (and urge to bark). Dane is a 7 to 8 year old, slightly overweight Rat Terrier mix, weighing 15 to 17 pounds with a neck-to-flank measurement of about 16 inches. He likes to feel held back, but I was concerned if he would be comfortable and really enjoy it. As soon as I fully collected it with a bubble, it immediately tried to jump! He's comfortable with the bubble dome, but Dane seems to prefer curling up and looking through the mesh. I can try to scratch on bus trips. The backpack turned out to be a lot bigger than I expected, so don't be shy even if you have a big cat or "smeduim" dog (small medium) that you're preparing for a Pokemon want to embark on adventures! Dane also liked the mesh area on the back. He, too, can curl up and roll over! I've included a photo of the Rat Terrier for size reference.
