Went this route after the composite gaskets that came with my Headman Hedders blew on the first run. It was a bit of a hassle to cut the material because it doesn't bend very well without tearing. The best advice is to be careful and go slow. You need to use a sharp knife on the cutting board so you can get some power. It is best to use a hammer drill for bolt holes. I've used a lot of Permatex copper sealant and it's held up great.
