For the price I paid ($35) this is a great kit. The stand is fairly stable on level ground, although I wouldn't use it outdoors, in windy conditions, or on uneven ground without weighing it down in some way. Umbrellas are good quality and ideal for a home mini studio. I mainly use it for product photography or to set up a small studio at an animal shelter to photograph cats. The only thing I want to replace is the universal mount. This part is all plastic, nothing seems to tighten very well, and the part that connects to your hot shoe is very tedious to work on! However, you can order a better mount for about $10 and STILL get a great bang for your buck and umbrellas! The tote bag isn't very sturdy, but it has room for everything you need and has a strap to sling over your shoulder. So if you're not very picky about your gear, this kit will serve you well.
