It was a bit difficult to figure out at the beginning, switching between the lights is not very easy, but the most important thing is Bluetooth and playing music. First, the range isn't very long, so plan on only using it at close range. Secondly, if a phone or computer is connected to it, the music will turn on and off. I was using Spotify and there was no speaker during Spotify playback. At first I thought maybe it wasn't charging, but I pretty much left the cable plugged in the whole time. It also has a very short battery life. The light isn't that important to me, but at least it doesn't do its job as a speaker. I also tried inserting a microSD alarm file but that didn't work, it played automatically and it's not easy to set the alarm time, although it has a lot of controls. Generally not very reliable.
