Honest Review from Honest Buyer

Installation didn't go bad, I've already set up other sensors so I already had a game plan to install this combo sensor in my warehouse/factory cluster. I love that I was able to match my 6 digit odometer reading with the new meter - everything I read only showed the 5 digits available. A big plus for my book. I didn't use the antenna that came with this unit, I bought it to drill a hole in my roof and mount it on my roof (screw on GPS antenna). Since this will be my only speedometer, I wanted to rely on the signal and having it on the windshield didn't suit me. Another option that I like more than others on the market is the remote button. I didn't want to take the dash apart just to get to the button. I opened up a hole on my regular gauge and installed a button there. The guide might be useful, but I figured it out - the number one cause of the headache was the rev counter! But I understand that too. I used a signal that goes straight from the ECM to the factory tachometer. That is the reason for only 4 stars, if the instructions said how to get them I would give 5 stars. The heart rate must be entered as 100. For example my V8 needs a heart rate of 4 so I would enter 00004 but that would be crazy. After hooking up my speedometer wire to 3 different sensors and exiting the ECM with multiple pulse counts from 1 to 8, I finally tried 00800 and damn it works. In part it was half of what my remote tachometer read. I changed it to 00400 and BAM! It just docked you to a star. Otherwise, dad is right next to my Garmin and I'm sure I'll be happy with him.
