I recently bought a cavalry helmet and loose wire at the same time and have been using them for two weeks. I have a 2017 HD Ultra Limited. The installation went almost seamlessly. I installed the Freewire in the Harley's rear trunk and routed a wire under the seat to connect to the 7th connector. I haven't figured out the performance of the Freewire yet, but I don't mind leaving it as is and charging the Freewire when needed. The cavalry helmet is larger than I expected. Before buying I look and read many reviews. The cavalry helmet works great with Freewire, I can hear music clearly from the infotainment center and the CB radio connection is great. I teamed up with some friends with 20S units and we had no problem talking to each other even at 70mph and up to 1/2 mile apart. One thing I didn't expect was when the intercom with friends dropped the freewire connection. According to the manual this is normal. But overall I'm very impressed. Really enjoy the lack of a wired connection of a traditional headset.
