I got a '65 Ford Mustang for Christmas and needed a set of jacks to set it up while I worked under it. I wanted something strong to make sure it wouldn't fall on me. They are 2 tons each and I bought 4 of them. I used a hydraulic jack and raised it, placing one of them under each wheel and putting them back down. Wow, he was strong! The Mustang weighs no more than 8 tons, but with a payload capacity of 2 tons, they don't just carry the entire car. I crawl under it by my Velcro and not worried about it falling on me. I wouldn't be working under a car that's jacked up if there weren't jack stands underneath. And in my case, they do more than the job requires. Sturdy steel construction and super easy to use.
