I received this book in a gift set and was excited to try the recipes. I have tried two recipes so far. Coconut Cranberry Cookies are delicious. The reason I only give it three stars is because of one of the recipes in the first section of the book. The creamy cookie with raspberry jam and fresh raspberries just seemed like a fabulous mix. Tried the recipe twice. The dough became very dry and at first I thought I put too much flour in it. I did it a second time with the same result. 4 egg yolks / 3 1/2 cups flour etc, don't have the book in front of me right now - sorry. I think there is a mistake in this recipe. Creamy cookies tend to flatten as they bake, which they don't. Either the recipe says too much flour or not enough butter or something else. I decided to use some leftover batter from my cookies and it was an amazing combination. I plan on comparing the recipe to several other shortbread cookie recipes, or I could just use cookie dough! It has many recipes that I plan to try later.
