If you need something to get by with a hot oil cap or whatever that works. If you've got a big ol' head with a crazy amount of hair - they work. Be careful as they tear easily. If you manage not to tear it, you can reuse the cap. Simply wash and turn inside out. READY. Mine are mostly disposable. I have sooo much hair I pulled out the first few but it kept me warm lol. So I can only say good things! Enjoy
