Review on Ultimate Filtration Solution: Introducing ISpring Flushable Prefilter Filtration WSP50 by Elizabeth Silva

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Well made [edit] and replacement screens are now available

The unit appears to be well built with good materials. I like the double thread option; We have been using 1" MNPT. It has accumulated quite a bit of sludge since we started using it. Flush every few days for the first week and then once a week. [edit] Unit has now been around six Months of use. , My daughter and son in law now live in the house we installed this in but I believe they don't need to flush once a week Of course the frequency of flushing depends on the incoming water and isn't really a function of the filter itself. The filter will catch anything over a plausible 50 microns. That means very fine sediment will be collected when flushing. My previous concern was finding replacement screens. These are now available here at Revain (albeit a little pricey - about 1/3 the cost of the device), so I am very satisfied with the device. Very good materials and functionality. Note: most of the sediment is washed off well, but fine particles are slightly larger than 50 microns. can clog the sieve. A soft bristle brush (e.g. an ft toothbrush) can help a little here, but of course it can further clog particles in the filter holes, so you have to be careful.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Not bad but...
