Description of Ultimate Filtration Solution: Introducing ISpring Flushable Prefilter Filtration WSP50

Rated at 50 micron. Ideal frontier water filter protecting your entire plumbing system from sediment, rust, dirt, sand, and large particles. NOTE: Screens with 50 or 100 microns may be clogged very soon for water with high sediment content. Contact us for screen replacement in different size. Flushable and reusable takes the considerable workload off finer filters that follow behind it; unlike traditional sediment filters, regular flushing keeps the WSP performance in control. Solid lead-free brass machine head with stainless steel mesh filter screen that usually lasts 1 - 2 years. Easy installation with double threads: 1-inch MNPT and 3/4 inch FNPT on both ends, garden hose barb fitting on flush out valve. See-through housing provides easy visual monitoring. 40 - 100F, 20 - 100 psi, for indoor use only.

Excellent Screen/Pre-Filter

Also see my review of the iSpring WGB22BM system it works with for some installation details. However, it works great when filtering out large particles. You can easily see the sediment at the bottom of the glass bowl, and opening the drain valve flushes out the dirt and is ready for another week or so, depending on the level of dirt. UPDATE: After a month I understand better how best to use this. There is a lot of sediment in our well water, and after running the WSP-50 filter for a week, the…

Works fine after finding suitable adapters to install CVPC

Let me start by saying that I love iSpring as a company. I have several of their products and they all work great. And their customer service is excellent. Now that the filter is in place the experience has been great. It's solidly built and works great. As for installation, I'm a little confused as to which direction to install it. As your intuition tells you, you must follow the direction of the arrow stamped on the brass. My confusion stemmed from some printed schematics and an installation…

Well made [edit] and replacement screens are now available

The unit appears to be well built with good materials. I like the double thread option; We have been using 1" MNPT. It has accumulated quite a bit of sludge since we started using it. Flush every few days for the first week and then once a week. [edit] Unit has now been around six Months of use. , My daughter and son in law now live in the house we installed this in but I believe they don't need to flush once a week Of course the frequency of flushing depends on the incoming water and isn't…

Good product, works as advertised!

My well is pushing out a lot of sediment, enough that after 3-4 weeks I have a noticeable drop in water pressure. Normally I wouldn't mind changing the filters every few weeks, but the overall plumbing for my fountain is pretty cramped. I decided to try this downward rotating filter to extend the life of my other filters and save me a few trips under the house. First impressions were that the filter appeared to be well made, which was one of the reasons I chose this one over other PVC options…

Great product/installation with well system

This is a must if you use well water or a municipal system with sediment problems! My installation uses iSpring's WGB32B-PB three-stage whole-house water filtration system. As a pre-filter, it allows the unit to be easily emptied when changing the main filters, avoiding water leakage and restricted drainage. Install it with a check valve before and after it when standing alone, or before and after a complete filtration system, and you'll minimize draining and almost any venting from your water…

Pros

Cons
  • Newer model could have been selected

Good product and much stronger than Rukus pure plastic and PVC filters. Just google the filter with a hammer and see how quickly you can have a bad day if it doesn't work. As others have said, the demo video is WRONG and they installed the filter in the wrong orientation. The narrow tip of the triangle/arrow - EXIT to the water flow. Even the documents and charts attached to this filter are FALSE. The words 123FILTER, when read, mean the direction of water flow. =====> A few installation…

Filters with a particle size of 50 or 100 microns can become clogged very quickly with water rich in sediment. Contact us for other size replacement screens

Great value for money, great well water filter!

Excellent value for money and very suitable for filtering large debris from well water! The price was comparable to plastic sediment filters that come in large boxes, so I went with this one, which seems to be heavier. I wish I had installed one of these things many years ago! I installed this after my well water pressure tank and before my forced air iron picking filter. After my forced air iron picking filter, I have a 20 inch blue water filter (5 micron), then my water softener, then another
